Online meeting organized on tax incentives in the field of cinematography

With the joint organization of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Creative Industries Federation, an online meeting was organized with the main producers and cinemas operating in the field of cinematography in our country.

The meeting was organized for the purpose of determining the circle of tax incentives that can be given to stimulate development in the field of culture, as well as to increase the volume of investment and capital investment based on the “Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026”, approved by the Decree of the Head of State dated July 22, 2022.

At the meeting, suggestions on providing incentives for the activities of business entities (legal and natural persons) in the mentioned areas, including the production and broadcasting of national motion pictures were heard, as well as the importance of relevant updating of the legislative acts and normative rules of special importance was emphasized by the participants.

In the end, it was proposed to organize a new meeting for the purpose of detailed collection and validation of the proposals in the form of a special questionnaire by the State Tax Service.
