Annual general assembly of Azerbaijan Creative Industries Federation organized

The annual general assembly of the Azerbaijan Creative Industries Federation was held today, and associations and unions representing the creative industries, representatives of creative companies and individual entrepreneurs working in the creative industries participated in the meeting.

First, the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Creative Industries Federation, Mr. Vasif Eyvazzade welcomed the members of the Federation and talked about the work done in recent years in the direction of the development of creative industries in our country, the events and projects carried out with public-private partnership in this field, as well as informed the participants about the goals and obligations with regard to the development of creative industries. In particular, he talked about the processes of active organization in the fields of creative industries, noted how many new creative unions and modern associations have been created and registered with the state in recent years, and in parallel with this, the further facilitation of partnership mechanisms in solving sectoral issues and, in this way, several joint brought to the attention of the participants that joint initiatives, projects and events were successfully carried out.

Then, Mr. Telman Malikzade, the deputy chairman of the Federation’s Board, gave information about the organizational strategy developed for the Federation together with British experts and noted important points about the planned activities in strategic directions (internal, external and sectoral). He also noted the importance of taking an active role of creative industry representatives in the implementation of relevant activities for the development of creative industries of the document “Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022‒2026”, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 22, 2022.

Then, organizational issues, activities of organizations functioning in creative industries, challenges faced by newly created associations, as well as development of international cooperation were discussed with the members of the Federation, and recommendations and suggestions were voiced on current issues in individual fields.

In the end, it was agreed to prepare and send letters to the relevant institutions by the members of the Federation based on the actual suggestions and recommendations voiced at the meeting as a subject of discussion.

The representatives of Association of Fashion Designers, Association of Marketing Professionals, “Syntetik” public association, Gilavar Photo Club, Azerbaijan Animation Association, Arts Council Azerbaijan, Endorphin advertising agency, “Next Group”, “Web Coder”, “INNOVAMEDIA”, “Farah-Rovshan”, “Global Communications and Innovations”, Education HUB, “Narimanfilm”, “Fil Agency”, “Facemark” companies and ASA theater, as well as creative professionals and artists who are individual members of the Federation participated in the assembly.
